Clinical Associate Professor Matthew Hopcraft is a dental public health expert. He has spent nearly 20 years researching dental caries (tooth decay) and associated oral health problems in the Australian community. He completed his PhD investigating the oral health of elderly people in nursing homes, and has published more than 40 papers and a book chapter. He was previously the Director of Clinical Education at the Melbourne Dental School, The University of Melbourne, and is a past President of the Australian Dental Association (Victorian Branch).

Dr Sophie Beaumont is a public health dentist with more than 20 years experience. She completed a Master of Public Health in 2004, and has worked in both public and private dental practice. She currently works for Dental Health Services Victoria. Sophie is extremely passionate about public dental care.
